This year’s Marketing Innovation Summit was the perfect setting to bring together B2B marketers, industry thought leaders, customers and partners. We used this opportunity to announce and celebrate the winners of the 2016 Ace Awards.
The Ace Awards are an opportunity for us to recognize and celebrate our digitally savvy and cutting-edge customers that are achieving phenomenal success with Demandbase. We received nearly double the number of nominations from last year, a clear indicator of increase in adoption of Demandbase technology and success experienced with an Account-Based Marketing approach. We are thrilled to announce the winners and runner-ups for each of the following categories:
• B2B Digital Marketing Excellence: This award is for an all-around B2B digital marketer of the year who exemplifies excellence in digital targeting, personalization and measuring results.
W.W.Grainger led this category with a stellar digital strategy which leveraged Demandbase website personalization and forms to specifically target medium and small-sized businesses with unique product and pricing offers.
Renesas won the runner-up award for their approach and execution aimed at attracting the right customers with the right content to their flagship event, DevCon.
A special shout out to some of the other nominees in this category: Blackline, Cornerstone OnDemand, Extole, Wonderlic.

Congratulations to Renesas for taking the runner up position in the B2B Digital Marketing Excellence category
• B2B Account-Based Marketing Excellence: The recipient of the B2B Account-Based Marketing Excellence award will have demonstrated excellence in Account-Based Marketing by aligning with Sales, identifying target accounts and delivering results.
SAP won the award for this category with a sophisticated, multi-geo and multi-segmented ABM strategy.
With a super aligned sales and marketing outlook, Plex Systems came close as the runner-up for their ABM programs and the impact its had on their target accounts.
Special mentions: Athena Health, Box, EMC, Host Analytics, Iron Mountain, MongoDB, Rockwell Automation and Thermo Fisher Scientific were some of the other nominees for this award category.

• B2B Advertising Excellence: This award is for a marketer who has demonstrated excellence in B2B display advertising with a strategy for delivering targeted advertising and measuring success.
Veracode won this category for their laser-focused strategy on landing net new logos from the list of target accounts that were not previously engaged at all. They were unable to attend but, we raised a glass to celebrate their win!
Cloudera and their media agency, Just Media, won the runner up position for their multi-channel approach aimed at attracting a clearly defined set of targeted accounts.
High fives to Power by GE and Skytap, also nominees in this category.
