Demandbase Hires Avanish Sahai as Chief Product Officer

Salesforce, Oracle Veteran To Lead Product Vision and Innovation


SAN FRANCISCO — May 1, 2014 — Demandbase, Inc., the leader in B2B targeting and personalization, today announced that Avanish Sahai has joined the company as Chief Product Officer. As CPO, Sahai will be responsible for the company’s overall product vision, strategy and innovation, as well as leading Demandbase’s technology partner strategy. Prior to joining Demandbase, Sahai served as Global Vice President, ISVs and Channels at Salesforce.com, where he helped establish and scale the company’s B2B apps marketplace, AppExchange, to more than $1 billion in ecosystem revenues.

Prior to Salesforce, Sahai served in executive roles with multiple early stage technology companies, including BDNA, Cogency, Blazent and Impresse. Prior to these positions, he was a management consultant at McKinsey, where he spearheaded the company’s Software and Services practice. A technology veteran of more than 20 years, he began his career at Oracle in engineering and product management. Sahai holds an M.B.A. from UCLA, and a master’s of science in computer engineering from Boston University.
