Nicole Morgan grew up in a family of business leaders and developed a deep passion for excellence. A self-described “go-getter,” she never stops learning and enthusiastically encourages others at Infor to deepen their understanding of ABM and tools that support excellence in the discipline, such as Demandbase One™. When not driving change in the office, Nicole enjoys walking on the beach, kayaking, and hiking. In the winter, you’ll find her bonding with her family on the slopes.

On the Marketing Operations team, Nicole identifies where she can build bridges between marketing and sales as Infor pursues a comprehensive ABM strategy. She loves to see people empowered by actionable knowledge in the form of metrics, clear goals, and processes.

Demandbase: Please tell us more about Infor and any unique challenges you have faced running an ABM program.

Nicole: Infor is a global leader in business cloud software products for companies in industry-specific markets. Demandbase: How did you hear about Demandbase? Was your company already using ABM technology when you came on board, or did you help to introduce Demandbase at Infor?

Nicole: I helped scale our use of Demandbase One to push us toward a fully embedded go-to-market strategy. As with any other company, this will always be a work in progress, but we have come a long way in using ABM technology.

Demandbase: Why did you apply to be a Demandbase Champion?

Nicole: I applied to become a Champion because I have faith in the power of Demandbase. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to form a partnership with the Demandbase team and be the admin for Demandbase One at Infor, which allowed me to become a true power user. I strive to empower others, and I am thrilled to share my passion for Demandbase, ABM, and all that I have learned from the rest of the team.

Demandbase: What have been the highlights of your career?

Nicole: Working with talented marketing and sales teams and learning how they do what they do has been a career highlight.

Demandbase: What do you like most about your current role?

Nicole: I love my current role at Infor because it allows me to act as a strategic partner to the marketing and business development teams. A strong alignment between sales and marketing teams is critical when launching and maintaining successful ABM programs. I am uniquely positioned on the Marketing Operations team to help bridge gaps and align everyone on the same goals, actions, and metrics through software tools like Demandbase One, ON24, Cvent, Drift, Salesforce, and ClickUp. Empowering people with tools and processes that drive us toward the same goals is incredibly rewarding.

Demandbase: Where do you want to grow from here?

Nicole: I am very ambitious and have always been, even as a kid! I set the bar high for myself because I am constantly striving to make a positive difference and lasting impact in everything I do in my professional and personal life. With that said, I still have much to learn in my professional career, and I appreciate every step of the journey, especially learning from the talented people around me.

Demandbase: Any advice for others who aspire to be an ABM superstar?

Nicole: Learning, implementing, and scaling an ABM strategy is one of the many challenges organizations and employees face. It’s a challenging task! I advise others to master the basics and gather knowledge from more experienced reps. Learning courses provide an excellent route toward mastering the fundamentals of Account-Based Marketing and beginning to lay a practical foundation at your company. Attend conferences, user groups, join online communities, ask questions, and apply the knowledge and insights you gain from others.

Demandbase: What interests do you have outside of work? What do you do to reduce stress?

Nicole: When not at work, you can catch me spending time outside! I love taking long walks on the beach, hiking, and kayaking. What’s more relaxing than being on a beach? I also love to ski. It’s a tradition we have kept to this day and one of the special ways we bond together.

Demandbase: What is something unique and unexpected about you?

Nicole: I come from a family of sales leaders and business owners! I saw firsthand the challenges people face in these roles, which inspires me today to drive change in my professional life. An essential insight I absorbed is that building relationships and coming up with solutions to problems ultimately stems from listening to pain points from others and assimilating different perspectives into my decision-making process.

Demandbase: What is your superpower? What aspect of your personality helps you be most successful in your job?

Nicole: My superpower is that I’m a go-getter—and I get things done! I’m extremely self-motivated and strive to make a lasting impact in everything I do. I have an internal drive that never stops! I am also action-oriented. People I work with describe me as diligent and organized, someone who comes up with good ideas, keeps the team accountable and always has a plan. Understanding the importance of good communication, teamwork, and cross-collaboration has helped me to establish strong relationships and drive change.
