Buying group insights overview

Buying Group Insights in Demandbase helps marketers and sellers identify missing personas and analyze engagement within buying groups. The workflow begins in Settings under the Buying Group section, where a Buying Group Setup Agent automatically creates a buying group. If not visible on the main page, check the inactive tab.

Once a buying group is created, the Buying Group Insights dashboard becomes populated. Users select an account list and a timeframe to scope the view.

The Buying Group Overview heatmap displays accounts plotted by buying group completeness and member engagement level. Accounts in the top-right quadrant have more complete buying groups with high engagement, indicating readiness for sales handoff. Hovering over a tile surfaces signal cards with account insights; clicking a tile filters the rest of the dashboard.

The persona and buying role chart shows which personas or buying roles are engaged or unengaged across a set of accounts. The view can be toggled between persona and buying role using a dropdown. Clicking a bar in the chart filters the account and people table below.

A filter icon opens the Filter Agent, which accepts suggested prompts or free-text input via a chat window. The Filter Agent analyzes the data, generates a filter query, and applies it upon confirmation.

From the filtered results, users can click on any account or person in the table and use the Take Action button to open the Action Agent. The Action Agent supports actions such as adding a person to a sales engagement sequence and assists in executing those actions directly from the dashboard.
