My last blog post celebrated Salesforce AppExchange’s 10th birthday and shared some background on Demandbase’s history with AppExchange. In the post, I referenced research by IDC that focused on the global economic effect of Salesforce and its ecosystem. While those numbers were impressive, new figures released by IDC today show that the ‘Salesforce Economy’ now has an even greater impact on the global economy. The study highlights how Salesforce and its ecosystem of customers and partners will drive nearly 1.9 million new jobs and more than $389 billion in new GDP impact worldwide by 2020.
Yet, in many ways this news doesn’t come as a surprise, especially when we consider our participation and our customers’ involvement in this ecosystem. Demandbase is a Salesforce customer, we have an app on the AppExchange, and Salesforce is a customer of ours. The vast majority of our customers use Salesforce to power their businesses and many of them, like Demandbase, are also ISVs with AppExchange listings. This is all to say that we observe firsthand the vastness and tremendous opportunity of the Salesforce ecosystem.
Because of this footprint, we developed our Salesforce integration, Sales Accelerator, to meet the demands of our customers. As our customers further adopt Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies, the necessity of sales and marketing alignment becomes more apparent. Delivering actionable insights to Sales directly in Salesforce is a key component of realizing this alignment. We’re able to bring this value to our customers because of the Salesforce platform.
As the Salesforce economy grows, we look forward to growing with it. It’s exciting to help our customers execute effective ABM today, but it’s even more exciting to think about how we can partner with Salesforce to make our customers increasingly successful in the future. Building a Wave Analytics app, integrating our recent acquisition, Spiderbook, and exploring what Einstein has to offer are just a few of the ways we can deepen our involvement in the Salesforce ecosystem.
We’re eager to continue this conversation at Dreamforce 2016. Regardless of where you are in your ABM journey, we have an event for you! Sign up for one of our ABM workshops or come hear how CenturyLink is using Demandbase at our speaking session on Thursday, The ABM Revolution: Why Sales and Marketing Will Never Be the Same. If those sound too formal, you’re welcome to connect with us at The People’s Party.
It’s a great time to be part of the Salesforce ecosystem, and we hope you’ll celebrate that with us during Dreamforce.
We’ll send you a monthly email rounding up our best blog articles.
