Demandbase Adds Real-Time Sales Intelligence and Alerts to Professional Offering

Demandbase Stream Now Measures Online Engagement and Automates Immediate Notifications of Target Audience Interest

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — December 17th, 2009Demandbase, Inc., a leading provider of B2B customer acquisition solutions, today launched the next generation of its Demandbase Professional technology, complete with new sales and web intelligence features to enable real-time monitoring and alerts of critical web activity. The new functionality is made available right from the Demandbase Stream desktop software widget, gives users instant visibility into customer, prospect and competitive intelligence from their website traffic, and delivers automated alerts when a meaningful event occurs. Customers with a Professional subscription can download Demandbase Stream in less than one minute, set alerts based on specific companies, types of interest, and level of engagement on the web site, and have the service automatically monitor web activity whenever their computer is turned on.

The next generation Demandbase Stream widget includes all of the functionality of previous versions—including real-time traffic information, integrated business contact data from leading sources including Hoovers, Jigsaw, D&B, LexisNexis, Harte-Hanks and 100+ business publications, Salesforce.com and LinkedIn compatibility, e-mail prospecting—and unique new functionality to make website intelligence and target audience prospecting more efficient than ever.

New features include:

  • Real-Time Alerts: Notifications set based on each user’s defined criteria or trigger event, informing users of meaningful web activity from prospects, existing customers, or even competitors.
  • Sales Intelligence: Prospects prioritized based on their level of engagement (number of pages viewed), type of interest (e.g. visit to a pricing or feature comparison web page), or stage in the buying cycle (new prospect, existing opportunity, or customer) and more.
  • Customized Web Intelligence: Daily and weekly reports are sent via email summarizing valuable insights for both sales and marketing. Sales teams can see the most engaged prospects within their territories, and marketers can gain valuable insights about the quality of web site traffic generated by individual traffic sources, monitor competitive activity, and understand which content was viewed most by their target audience.

“Our next generation Stream desktop widget delivers the actionable business insight necessary to deliver the highest possible return on marketing spend, including e-mail, search, social media and other online channels designed to drive qualified web traffic,” said Chris Golec, CEO of Demandbase. “This wouldn’t be possible without our IP-to-business-resolution technology and integrated data platform, which helps identify 3X the number of companies than other methods and improves with each new customer and data provider.”

As with all Demandbase solutions, Demandbase Professional is delivered on demand and requires no hardware or software deployment so customers can start using the service in minutes. More than 100 million web visits from two thousand b2b web properties are matched every month.
