| What kind of contacts can be found on Demandbase? |
100% of the business contacts are employed at U.S. businesses with more than $5 million in revenue. All industries, all departments, and all levels within the organization are represented. |
| Do I get emails and what is your privacy policy? |
Yes, a large portion of the contacts in Demandbase’s marketplace include email. Emails are sourced from Demandbase’s data partners that follow strict opt-in practices. Additionally, Demandbase sends periodic communications to the marketplace providing them with the opportunity to opt-out. We do not accept data that is harvested off the web or contributed from unapproved third parties. |
| Do I need to buy a subscription? | No. There is no trial period or subscription required. You only pay for the business contacts you drag into your shopping cart. |
| How big is the Demandbase contact database? |
There are approximately 4 million business contacts in Demandbase. More than 95% of all U.S. businesses with more than $5 million in revenue are represented. |
| Why will marketers want to use Demandbase? |

| How do I find a specific company? | Enter a specific company name in the search box labeled "By Company" in the upper left. Press "Go" to initiate your search. You can search on multiple companies by separating your entries with a comma. To find leads for a large quantity of target companies, please contact our sales department at 415-683-2660. |
| What is a Performance Index? | The Performance Index is a measure of how well a contact matches your target customer profile, the quality of data based on the source and freshness, and a behavioral information from previous campaigns . The scale ranges from 1 to 100. |
| How is my credit card information secured? |
Your credit card information is encrypted in our system and is not saved unless you explicitly authorize it. |
| How do I change my password? | From the log in screen, simply select the "Forgot Password" link and enter your email. We will email you a temporary password which can be changed once you log in. |
| Can I select multiple leads? | Yes, you may select an entire column from a chart and drag it to the Lead Cart for purchase. Or, you may use one of the standard CTRL-click or SHIFT-click combinations to select multiple leads from the table. |
| How do I remove my name from your database? |
We will remove your name from our database upon your request. Please send an email to support@demandbase.com or call 415-683-2660. |
| What type of data or fields do I receive when I buy leads? |
Every lead in Demandbase comes with full contact and company details including address, title, industry, phone and email (when available). |
| How is the data formatted? | The data is delivered in a .csv format which you can open in Microsoft Excel or a variety of other applications including Microsoft Outlook, and most CRM applications. |
| What is your quality policy? | Purchased leads that contain an email address that bounces, or is incorrect, may be forwarded to support@demandbase.com for evaluation. If the email address is not valid, Demandbase will issue a credit to your account. |
| Where does the data come from? | Demandbase sources data from a variety of well established, high quality information providers. We have relationships with each firm that provides data to our network. |
| Does my information get populated into Demandbase? |
Your information never becomes part of our network and is not sold, shared, or distributed to any third party. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information. |
| How often do you update your data? |
Our data sources provide us new feeds on a weekly basis. |
| I want to buy 50k leads. How do I do that? |
Buying 1 lead or 100,000 leads can be done the same way. For large and frequent purchases, we can establish a corporate account. Please contact a Demandbase representative to inquire further 415-683-2660. |
| Does Demandbase work with Salesforce.com? |
Yes. Demandbase for AppExchange allows you to log in to Demandbase directly from Salesforce.com. The service automatically removes duplicates from your shopping cart to ensure all contacts are new to your crm system. You also have the option to add new contacts directly into your Salesforce.com system. |
| How can I get the information into my CRM system? |
If you use Salesforce.com, new business contacts can be added directly to your CRM system at check out. Alternatively, you can upload a .csv file sent to you via email directly to your CRM system. |
| How do I de-dupe names I already have or want to suppress? |
Suppression and de-duplication can be performed at no extra cost for lead quantities over 1,000. Any duplicates will be credited to your account. If you are a Salesforce.com customer, the AppExchange version of Demandbase's solution will perform de-duplication automatically. |
